Garden Soil is blended on site with composted steer manure, yard and garden compost and washed weed free sand. Our Lawn Soil (formerly SuperSoil) is blended on site. It is a combination of yard and garden compost, steer manure and washed weed free sand. Lawn Soil is a high nutrient soil. It is great for rejuvenating and top dressing lawns, and is also ideal for heavy feeding plants such as roses and annuals. This blended soil ensures grass growing at peak capacity. Lawn Soil is best known for producing rich green lawns in a short period of time.
Super Compost is a yard and garden compost. With its superior blend of both high nitrogen and organic components it ensures great fertilization as well as being weed free. Helps rejuvinate old depleted or heavy clay soil into rich organic high producing soil. This blend is also great for top dressing or mulching flower and garden beds.
Earthbank Fish Compost consists exclusively of wild and farmed fish, fir and hemlock ground bark, ground up land clearing debris, and some sawdust from local sawmills. Fish Compost is certified organic and can be used without restriction in all applications. It provides a nutrient rich and biologically active root medium that helps plants suppress disease and thrive.
This fine, dark fir mulch is the most popular of our Mulch products. Great for top dressing garden beds or used as a decorative ground cover. Helps retain moisture and supress weeds. We recommend laying down a weed fabric, newspaper or cardboard underneath to prevent weed seeds from taking root.
This mulch is becoming popular because the coarser grade increases longevity (in comparison to the fine). This product has more of a nugget texture, a “classic” mulch if you will, and is also great for retaining moisture and suppressing weeds. We recommend laying down newspaper or cardboard underneath to prevent weed seeds from taking root.
This Aged Fir mulch is a more nutrient rich option compared to the other mulch options we carry and is also darker in colour due to the fact is has composted down. Dark bark is great for retaining moisture and suppressing weeds. We recommend laying down newspaper or cardboard underneath to prevent weed seeds from taking root.
We Refer to Cedar Chips as “Decoratively Deadly”. It is great for pathways or for use around raised garden beds, it is also great for kids play areas since it doesn’t have the fine ground slivers like a bark mulch. Cedar Chips are a long lasting mulch, useful for preventing the growth of ANYTHING, and should be used with CAUTION. Approximately a 1” chip.
